How are you going to remember how you "played" in this season?
Some Tips:
I. Let your child choose!
Which kid doesn't put on a large show and tell of all their loved toys when visitors come over? Just mine? Cool. ;) You can definitely encourage them or pick the items for them, but how fun to let THEM tell the story of what they are interested in right now.
II. Give options
If you want the items to match outfits or be a specific type of toy (book, truck, etc.) then just give them options! Tell them they can bring their favorite book to bring along! Or say they have to find a toy that's the color brown! You know those 5 minutes before you leave when you want to make those final touches on make-up?? Give them a job to do!
III. The "Last" photo
These photos we are going to save for the very end! I am ALL about the bribes with fun food or whatever, but this can just be another fun motivator to help participate in the other playful poses we'll do. "At the end you'll get to show Brenna your favorite toy you brought!"
Portrait Photography
I believe there is something to celebrate in each season of life. The cuddly infant, the wild toddler, the busy teen. My goal this year is to help capture all of it so when life gets hard- you can look back and remember the joy.
Let's capture joy in each season to sustain you through the hard and mundane.
